Sunday means long lazy hours fed by good food and great wines.Better still if you indulge in it while looking at the magnificent Qutub district. Sunday also means sitting still at one place without a worry in the world.
We had the opportunity to sample the Drunch at @_botai recently. The long lazy brunch accompanied by beautiful drinks, live music, and a steady drone of happy families and groups of friends was an extraordinary experience in all ways. As someone very fussy about her Thai food, I was impressed by everything presented (on the table, as many servings as you like) to us.
The long list of starters was flavourful, beautiful in texture, and piping hot, the drinks – Champagnes, Bellini, Mimosa, Whiskeys, Wines, and many interesting cocktails were refreshing, and the mains – simple curries and rice, noodles and grills were gratifying as they could be after a few hours of drinking and eating.
If you are looking at a new place to spend your Sunday with friends and family, I’d recommend @_botai many times over.
The place to me stood out for its sensitivity and openness to children, proactiveness in service and attention to detail, where every dish feels like an a-la-carte order — a combination hard to master even for the best in business.
The drunch is on every Sunday at @_botai Qutub from 12:30-3:30.
